May 7th, 2017 – Jeff Shelton and volunteers from the US cooked a delicious meal for ghetto survivors from Rishon LeZion. The survivors and the volunteers quickly built relationships and Gregory, the group’s leader from Rishon LeZion, invited the volunteers to come and celebrate May 9th, the Victory Day, with them. Gifts from America and hugs expressed love and compassion.
A few survivors shared part of their stories. One man said this was the first time that he spoke about some aspects of his suffering. Another man said that nowadays his nerves are simply too weak to share his sorrows.
