Making New Friends

November 20th, 2018 – The Haifa Association of Children of the Holocaust sent 16 of their members for a day at the Rali Museum and the Helping Hand Coalition’s (עמותת יד לעזרה ישראל) Caesarea Villa for a Shalom House meeting.

The survivors were delighted with exhibitions at the museum and encouraged by meeting new people from Israel, Poland, China and the United States. The Chinese guests made a tasty lunch with help from volunteers of Helping Hand Coalition. Bozena Gasiorowski even brought two cakes and balloons for one of the volunteers who was serving the survivors on his birthday.

There were handmade quilts from believers in the U.S. and also scarves and other handmade items from the sewing class in Costa Mesa, California.

This was the last day for Dudley Goff, who assisted in receiving hundreds of quilts for the survivors. All of us at Helping Hand Coalition that have served with Dudley while he has been here are grateful for the efforts to express love and compassion towards the Holocaust survivors in Israel.
