New Year, New Nations

January 21st, 2018 – 15 Holocaust Survivors from Netanya arrived at Caesarea Villa for their first gathering of the new year with flowers and chocolates to wish happy New Year and to show their appreciation to the volunteers who prepared a delicious lunch and set a beautiful table for them. The volunteers really did a great job, adding a famous warm Russian cocoa drink to make the survivors feel at home.

A video from a group of people from the March of Life International Movement in Guayaquil, Ecuador was shown during the evening. In it, several people shared their support and love for Israel and the Jewish people. They also shared different challenges they are having and practical steps they are taking to raise funds to participate and walk together with them in the March of the Nations on May 15th, 2018.

The short video was enough to move the survivors to tears as they saw that more nations and people are standing together with them and making plans to come to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel in Jerusalem. It was overwhelming to see their response and appreciation towards these people they are yet to meet.
