An Incredible Concert For Survivors

December 9th, 2018 – An incredible country and bluegrass music performance was organized on December 3rd in The Pavillion, Jerusalem, for Holocaust survivors in need as well as for IDF soldiers (most of whom are lone soldiers), by the US top Gospel Country music artists, such as The Isaacs and their friends – Keren Pecks & New River, Lee Brice, and others.

During the event, The Isaacs, who had graciously raised funds in the USA prior to their arrival, donated $40,000 to Helping Hand Coalition for Israel (עמותת יד לעזרה ישראל) (for Holocaust survivors and for IDF lone soldiers projects) as well as $20,000 to the Joseph Project.

After an enjoyable time of amazing music sang by three generations of singers, to conclude the event, The Isaacs blessed each Holocaust survivors and IDF soldier with a generous gift card for Hanukkah in order to help them during the holiday. (*the IDF soldiers received their gift cards at a later time). One of the Russian-speaking survivors came onto the stage and thanked the guests in the name of all the survivors, saying that people like them are the true Hanukkah miracle.

Lily Isaacs, the leader of all groups, is a daughter of survivors – her parents were Holocaust survivors from Poland. They were both saved by the US Army from Bergen Belzen Nazi concentration camp. You can read Lily’s own impression of the concert here:

On behalf of all Holocaust Survivors and IDF soldiers participating in this event – we thank you, dear Isaacs, for your tremendous hearts for these people, for being an advocate and supporter of Israel, and for your incredibly talented and moving music!

The event was organized by Isaacs and Fishman Isaacs Israel Initiative, in cooperation with Helping Hand Coalition for Israel.

Special thanks to David Welch – President of American Friends of Helping Hand Coalition, for bringing us all together.
