Annual Or Akiva Renovation Projects

March 21st, 2019 – Our favorite group from Holy Ground Explorations, USA, has arrived in Or Akiva on March 18th and began renovation of 2 facilities for the municipality and local group of WWII Refugees – one center that welcomes and helps underprivileged families and another facility where victims of the Holocaust meet on a weekly basis.
They worked on both sites for the following 3 days. A huge thanks to Sharon Stolebarger and to her group of American and Australian Christian volunteers who come each year to serve the locals in such a loving and practical way.

Barely a day into the work, and with both projects already looking so much better, local social services Director Noah Shefi could not wait to see how the renovations will look on the final day.  And then it came! Finishing touches were put to both buildings, which looked very different at the end of the project, and even some basic landscaping was done.

A big shout out and huge thanks to Holy Ground Explorations for their amazing work at both local Or Akiva facilities. Seeing the heart and the hard work you put in the renovations was so inspirational, leaving a mark on all who witnessed it. Thank you on behalf of the Helping Hand Coalition for Israel (עמותת יד לעזרה ישראל) and of the city of Or Akiva!
