March 9th, 2020 – In the past week, hundreds of WWII refugees and ghetto survivors from Netanya, Ofakim and Sderot received gift grocery cards for shopping for the PURIM holiday celebration.
In Sderot our volunteers met with Wolf Galperin, pictured in our featured image, who saved 131 children during the Holocaust in the camps of Dachau and Birkenau. He was so happy to receive the visit and the financial support. In his eyes it shows that Germany still cares for them.
In the light of all the world events happening at this time, the elderly are so grateful to be cared for and know that friends from Germany don’t forget them.
