November 18th, 2020 – Hundreds of WWII veterans, refugees and survivors received high-quality quilts from the beginning of the month just as colder weather started rolling in. Hand-made by Gleanings for the Hungry and shipped by Israel Food Outreach, these quilts are being distributed by Helping Hand Coalition for Israel in Rehovot, Sderot, Beersheva and other places. In Jerusalem the quilts were distributed with the cooperation of the municipality and Global Forum of Helping Hand Coalition for Israel.

With so many bright colors and cheerful patterns, each person could find a quilt they liked and said the quilts will lift their spirit in the coming cold days. The elderly also received a donation of face masks sponsored by GAiN Germany.
