January 21st, 2021 – GAiN Sponsorship Program has been partnering with Helping Hand Coalition for Israel for 13 years! It was initiated to maintain close connection between German families and Survivors of the Holocaust in Israel. Besides providing regular financial support to survivors through the year, many elderly become personally connected with the families, who send them letters and gifts, as well as come for visits. Because of covid-19 pandemic restrictions, the sponsors have not been able to come to Israel for visits for a long time.
This January the survivors received generous gift packages from their sponsors, including personal notes with wishes of health and well being. Thank you, Germany, for this enduring friendship!
