December 20th, 2022 – Jerusalem – Beit Taylor center – In the midst of the Hanukkah celebration, more than 350 families from the Kiryat Yuvel neighborhood of Jerusalem received brand new sportswear clothing and shoes, bedding products such as blankets and mattresses, home furniture and supplies, and many other goods. Both local Israeli families in need and new immigrant families from Ethiopia, Russia, South America and more have been and will be blessed with the pricey goods.
Jewish agency project manager Noam Ezra and Ettie Va’anounou (Head of the center and social services manager) as well as many local actors and volunteers who helped coordinate the distribution said that the donation was a tremendous blessing for those who received it. The center helps around 5,000 families from the South Jerusalem area.
Yehuda Ben Yosef, one of Jerusalem’s deputy mayor and business advancement director, made an appearance and thanked Helping Hand Coalition for Israel and its sponsors on behalf of the city of Jerusalem for blessing many of its residents.
A huge thanks to GAiN Germany and ESPA Foundation Poland for shipping such high-quality goods and to our local partners Joseph Project for handling the logistics of bringing the precious donation into Israel. Great team work!
