November 20th, 2023 – Thanks to Global Forum members and GAiN Germany, Helping Hand Coalition for Israel was able to bring financial support to more residents of Kfar Aza who faced the horrors of October 7th.
Tom (first picture) and Ofir Alon spent 30 hours in their bomb shelter with their children (1,5 and 7 years old). They survived thanks to a chair that Tom stuck on the door handle, which prevented the terrorists from succeeding to open the door and execute them.
Tom is so grateful for the financial support in the form of grocery cards he received from Helping Hand Coalition to purchase groceries and needed products for his family while they are staying in a local hotel at Shfayim Kibbutz.
Another gift card for grocery shopping was donated for 2 children who lost their parents and are in the process of being adopted by their uncle, who also is a survivor of October 7th terrorist infiltration into their homes. The 6 and 9 year old survived by hiding for an entire day in the bomb shelter closet, until the army released them. Their sister was kidnapped to Gaza and is still in Hamas’ hands.
Zoli, their uncle, is himself evacuated with 3 children, and will start the adoption process for his nephews as soon as possible.
