January 4th, 2024 – Almost no one is left in the town of Shlomi (Northern Israel).
Yefim and Faina were living very close to the border where the Hezbollah terrorist missile launches started. They were first evacuated to Dalyat Al Karmel, but were pretty scared in the new place when missile launches and rocket sirens started, so they moved away on December 16th with their daughter and her family, and have been staying with their granddaughter.
But Yefim had health complications, and on December 20th was admitted to the hospital, where he had cancer removal surgery. Faina worries a lot and stays with him at the hospital.
They were very happy to be visited by Helping Hand Coalition for Israel and to receive financial support in the form of grocery cards, thanks to the GAiN Sponsorship Program. Faina couldn’t hold her tears, and a local kind nurse was so happy to witness both the financial and emotional support, and to help with translation to Russian.
