August 11th, 2025 – Svetlana and Vasily, presently evacuated to Tel Aviv, whose apartment was recently destroyed by Iranian missile impact in Bat Yam:
“Not back in their apartment yet, still a lot of fixing to be done there”. Still in the hotel, God willing before the end of August they will be back in their apartment. It is being fixed.
Svwtlana feels of a lot pressure, trauma, PTSD, doesn’t sleep well at night. Dizziness too. Hopes for better days; the traumatic events will be with her for a long time. Big thanks for the financial support, deeply grateful for it.

They were living in old apartment but had just finished paying for it. They immigrated to Israel from Ukraine 30 years ago.
The missile fell right on the building in front of theirs and caused great damage all around, including their building.
They were deeply touched by the solidarity and attention. They used to feel alone in Israel and said that they finally experienced a deep sense of support, community and others caring for them in the midst of this catastrophe.
