September 4th, 2025 – Ortal and her family with three children were home when the Iranian missile hit their building in Bat Yam. The apartment they owed was completely destroyed; they survived thanks to the downstairs shelter. The building collapsed, and those in the shelter were covered by the rubble. One of their children, Harel, lost his hearing for the first hour. All they were left with after the bombing were the cell phones in their hands.
Harel also lost a relative in the Nova festival massacre who was murdered on October 7th. He is still completely traumatized and is receiving psychological help. Other family members are traumatized as well.
They have been staying in Crown Plaza Tel-Aviv. They need to find a rental for the time being.
