Lod | Brand New Mattresses for Victims of the Holocaust and New Immigrants

February 24th, 2026 – The city of Lod has 90,000 residents, with one of the largest percentage of elderly in its population (60%).

There are 7 elderly hostels in that small city. Rent is one of the cheapest in Lod, therefore many financially struggling populations move there. It is also a mixed city, with 30 % of Israeli Arabs.

Rachel Shapiro, new immigrant center coordinator in Lod, also Head of WWII veterans organization, was so appreciative for all the help that the Global Forum (of Helping Hand Coalition) has been providing the city and especially to Victims of the Holocaust.

This time, right In the heart of the winter, Lod Association of Victims of the Holocaust, part of Helping Hand Coalition Global Forum, have received top-quality mattresses, for the elderly and those in need in Israel.

Haifa | Grocery Shopping Gift Cards for the Disabled and Underprivileged

December 17th, 2025 – In the heart of Hanukkah, many more disabled individuals, single parent families, new immigrants from Ukraine who escaped the war three years ago, and cancer survivors received financial help in the form of gift grocery cards for shopping, thanks to the generosity of Helping Hand Coalition sponsors.

The donation brought so much hope and joy to the lives of each person helped.

Most of the individuals helped struggle with sickness and/or handicaps that hinder them from having a job, and live with tiny pensions that barely cover the rent. Especially in these difficult war times.

Helping to Watch Over the Home

November 10th, 2025 – Through the generosity of incredible international donors, Helping Hand Coalition was able to assist and support a small town in Samaria by equipping them with vital defense tools, including cameras, surveillance systems, and drones, to help safeguard their community against threats and attacks from nearby Palestinian towns. These measures have already helped prevent several attempted infiltrations into the village.

Ben Shemen (Jerusalem area) | Humanitarian Aid for local youth village

December 30th, 2024 – Ben Shemen youth village receiving top quality sport shoes as well as amazing sportswear clothing and shirts, for their 400 residents and students (aged from 6 to 18), many of whom come from difficult socio-economical backgrounds and families registered at social services.

Moshe Ben Shushan, deputy general director of the youth village said that we have no idea how blessed the local youths have been each time Helping Hand Coalition for Israel visits and brings amazing donations from GAiN Germany.

Boris Shtibelman, director of Israel high school programs was also present at the blessed distribution and said that it is such a great privilege for him to take part and connect the local youth village to such amazing donations.

Many of the youths attending the school, sport and training programs, and living on site do not have enough to afford nice sportswear or even shoes, and greatly depend on donations during the period of their studies.

The school also hosts numerous Ukrainian war refugees and young new immigrants from the former USSR who came alone to Israel without their families.

The youth village mission is to provide the young ones with all the tools and opportunities that they were not given by their own families to succeed in life and leave this place with a clear vision and direction for their lives.

Tel-Aviv | Humanitarian Aid for New Immigrants and Families in Need

October 10th, 2024 – Thanks to GAiN Germany, and together with the Generous Basket Organization, hundreds of families and individuals from central Israel will be blessed with brand new sportswear clothing & shoes, as well as brand new regular clothing.

Generous Basket is a humanitarian aid NGO located right in the heart of Tel Aviv, opened since 2022, just at the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Their aim is to assist refugees, displaced people from conflict areas, and those in need.

Words from the team:

โ€œSince October 7, 2023, the demand for assistance through Generous Basket has tripled, with an increasing number of Israelis displaced from military zones seeking help. Previously, our aid primarily reached new immigrants, refugees, and single mothers with children. In the first three months of the war alone, we distributed 758 food boxes, delivered 12,000 kg of humanitarian aid, and reached 3,348 individuals with the help of our dedicated volunteers.

In the first half of 2024, an average of 400 families per month have sought help from Generous Basket. Whether they are picking a warm coat for winter, a comforting home good, or a food basket, every visit is accompanied by friendly conversations, free coffee, sweet treats, and a community that cares.โ€

The whole team expressed so much excitement about the donation and how it is going to bless so many families and individuals in need, and thanks Helping Hand Coalition and GAiN Germany for their support.

Nationwide | Grocery Shopping Gift Cards for the Disabled and Underprivileged

September 19th, 2024 – All throughout the summer and right before the Jewish holiday season begins, many more disabled individuals, single parent families, new immigrants from Ukraine who escaped the war two years ago, cancer survivors receiving financial help in the form of gift grocery cards, thanks to the generosity of Helping Hand Coalition sponsors.

The donation brought so much hope and joy to the lives of each person helped. This time, individuals and families in need from the cities of Haifa, Ashdod, Netanya, Petach Tikva, Shfayim and more received the donation.

Most of the individuals helped struggle with sickness and/or handicaps that hinder them from having a job, and live with tiny pensions that barely cover the rent. Especially in these difficult war times.

Childrenโ€™s Summer Camp in Ashkelon for New Immigrants

August 15th, 2024 – Helping Hand Coalition for Israel was blessed to be able to make a small contribution to a wonderful summer initiative in southern Israel. The “Kulani Lemaโ€™an Kulanu” foundation (“All of Us for All of Us”) is running a summer camp for children of new immigrants in Ashkelon. This southern Israeli city has been severely affected since October 2023, particularly impacting new immigrant children.

The camp, which lasts three weeks in August, serves nearly 100 kids and aims to create a nurturing environment for children aged 6-12, offering a range of educational and recreational activities.

Helping Hand Coalition contributed to this project, specifically funding the arts and crafts department to enrich the camp activities.

The goal of the “Kulani Lemaโ€™an Kulanu” foundation is to provide a high-quality camp experience with extensive educational and experiential content, offering optimal social and educational support to the new immigrant children in Ashkelon.

Humanitarian Aid for Iron Swords Evacuees in Khatzor haGalil and for Local Residents in Need

June 19th, 2024 – Thanks to GAiN Germany, and together with the municipality of Khatzor, the Jewish Agency, the ยซTruth and Mercyยป Foundation, more humanitarian aid will be distributed to war evacuees in Khatzor, to new immigrants and local families in need.

Gabi Yosefi, deputy mayor of Khatzor and active director of social services for many years, as well as Rami Yosefi (CEO of the a local foundation), insisted on thanking Helping Hand Coalition and GAiN Germany for their donation that came in a great time of need.

He added that the local economy has taken a serious hit since the beginning of the war and that many residents and refugees are in great need of help more than ever.

Aid for Iron Swords War Evacuees from the North

November 8th, 2023 – Thanks to Global Forum members, GAiN Germany, and with participation of the Jewish Agency, more financial help was donated to Iron Swords war evacuees in Jerusalem and Tsfat for grocery shopping.

One mother of four from Ashkelon was brought to tears after receiving the donation of grocery cards. She said that she never thought she would be on the receiving side one day, but that at present time, this help is very critical for her and her family. She sent a huge thanks to all sponsors of Helping Hand Coalition for Israel for the support in such difficult times and hopes to be able to return to her home soon.

Rafi Trabelsi, main coordinator for the Tsfat absorption center also said that the gift cards are a true blessing for the new immigrant families who were evacuated from Northern Israel.

Ethiopian families from the city of Tsfat, currently accommodated in a local Jewish Agency facility, are new immigrants who arrived in Israel only last year.

Huge Brand-New Clothing Donation in Kiryat Motzkin

July 20th, 2023 – Hundreds of new immigrants and families in need received high quality, brand-new sportswear clothing, as well as jeans and casual shirts, donated to the New Immigrant center located in the heart of a local underprivileged neighborhood of Kiryat Motskin (Haifa Area). Irena Livshitz, Head of the Aliyah department, was very grateful for getting a large donation and being able to bless many youths, underprivileged families and new immigrant in need, as well as elderly. Several distributions of the donation through the center provided necessary clothing for the summer and early fall months.

Brand New Clothing and Sportswear Donation in Kiryat Motzkin and Kiryat Gat

June 27th, 2023 – Hundreds of new immigrants and families in need received high quality Sportswear clothing, as well as jeans and casual shirts, donated to the new Immigrant center in the heart of a local underprivileged neighborhood of Kiryat Motzkin (Haifa region). Irena Livshitz, head of the Alyah department, is so grateful for getting the precious donation and being able to bless many youths, underprivileged families and new immigrant in need, as well as elderly.

Helping Hand Coalition for Israel also participated in one more distribution in Kiryat Gat together with the ยซ Kulanu leeman kulanu ยป local foundation and the Jewish Agency , where many more single mothers, new immigrants from Ethiopia and the former USSR, and local neighborhood residents living under the lines of poverty were helped.

A special thanks to Yigal Weinberger, Head of the local foundation, and to Noam Ezra, Jewish Agency project manager, and to all the volunteers who will be coordinating several more beautiful distributions this next week.
