Last Friday it was a real celebration of ballet art at the city cultural center of Netanya. The municipality, with personal support of the Mayor, Ms. Miriam Fayerberg-Yikar, and together with the President of charity fund Helping Hand Coalition for Israel, Andrzej Gasiorowski, invited the people of the city to a performance by Ballet Magnificat, “Exodus Story”.
Naturally, the War veterans, ghetto and Holocaust survivors were the first to receive the invitations. Everyone loved the performance, which told the story of exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt in the language of ballet dancing. American dancers gave a highly professional performance, which left the audience with the feeling of beauty in their hearts.
This charitable action is one of the many sponsored by Helping Hand Coalition for Israel. With support of this fund several “Shalom Houses” have been opened in Netanya. There elderly people find encouragement, support and sympathy. “We want to help the elderly not to remain lonely, to give them an opportunity to socialize with their neighbors and not to retreat into their problems by themselves”, – says Andrzej Gasiorowski.
Just recently such a Shalom House was opened with Mila Kornich as a host.
