Grateful to Be in Israel Now

August 9th, 2018 – A meeting with 16 Holocaust survivors from Netanya took place at the March of Life House in Caesarea. Some of them came for the first time. During the meal, some survivors shared their World War II experiences in personal conversation. The four volunteers from Canada, the USA and Germany could feel the pain of losing entire families in some of the survivors, as if they were reliving it again, but also the gratitude of knowing that it is in the past and of being in Israel now. A survivor spoke of his grandfather who always dreamed of returning to Zion one day.

The time passed very quickly and no one wanted to go. The survivors remarked on how warm and wonderful the atmosphere at the lunch was and how they were grateful for being able to come to these meetings.
