January 24th, 2019 – Shalom House meeting was organized for around 25 Holocaust survivors from Carmiel, Israel, who came to the new Helping Hand Coalition’s (עמותת יד לעזרה ישראל) Caesarea villa.
The event was accompanied by incredible music by Losha & Jody Ryabinov and Alexander and Caecilia Dietze who assisted, coordinated and led the event. Liosha and Jody have become regular part of the Shalom Houses, volunteering their musical and vocal gifts to serve the survivors. Liosha is an incredible composer and pianist, his unique, uplifting music seems to flow from his hands naturally and effortlessly. He plays his own pieces and music by other composers, as well as popular songs in English, Hebrew and Russian.
Survivors always enjoy these performances. His wife Jody says about the survivors: “These precious people are like having my grandparents come for these events! We are blessed to do this here in Israel.”
It was a warm and great reception with a delicious lunch. Thank you to everyone who helped to make it an enjoyable event for the survivors!
