On November 4th, Helping Hand Coalition welcomed twenty ghetto survivors from Helping Hand Global Forum Hadera to its headquarters for a Shalom House event.
Greeting the survivors as they settled into their seats, Andre Gasiorowski — Co-Founder and Chairman — and Rita Tager — Helping Hand’s International Project Manager — showcased the work Helping Hand Coalition has achieved in the last ten years, explaining their mission to aid and bless every survivor in Israel until the very end.
Encouraged to see the progress and learn about Helping Hand Coalition’s upcoming projects and activities, the survivors were enthusiastic as they asked questions about how they will be supported as new members of Helping Hand – Global Forum — the cover of Helping Hand Coalition that strives to support survivors, build relationships, produce media, and host events.
At the end of the presentation, Bozena Gasiorowski — Director of the Shalom House Project — presented the survivors with their Global Forum membership cards and grocery food vouchers, which were sponsored by one of Helping Hand Coalition’s German sponsors, Christen an der Seite Israels.
Before the survivors returned home, they were served a hot lunch. Catered by Orly, a local chef, the beautifully decorated bowls contained salad, mashed potatoes, and meatballs for the survivors’ nourishment. The reception continued outside as refreshments were served on the patio where the survivors could sit, talk, and enjoy the warm Fall weather that continues to grace Israel.
Helping Hand Coalition profoundly appreciates all of the sponsors who make this work and these events possible! Our thanks especially go out to Christen an der Seite Israels for sponsoring the grocery cards, along with Helping Hand Coalition’s team, who effortlessly worked to create such an enjoyable and memorable afternoon. Spending time with the survivors is a gift and blessing, so we’d also like to thank the survivors for accepting our invitation to join Global Forum and attend the afternoon’s event!
