Caesarea | Restoring Smiles: Shalom House’s Dental Project Gathering.

November 7, 2024

On November 7th, after a period of sirens and rocket fire over Israel, Shalom House opened its doors to a special gathering of Holocaust survivors participating in the Dental Project. Many commented on the beauty and serenity of the day, describing it as a perfect gift from God amidst the ongoing war in Israel.

After the warm welcome from the Gasiorowski family, a delicious lunch, arranged by Bozena, added to the joy of the occasion.”
Sarah, one of the organizers, shared the heart behind the Dental Project, describing it as a meaningful initiative for the Helping Hand Coalition (HHC), sponsored by the U.S. organization “Jewish Voice.” This support has been life-changing, as many survivors had sacrificed basic needs to afford even partial dental care.
Lev Vorovich, one of the Survivors said that this project brought a happy smile to his face, thus he brought flowers to give the HHC team a piece of that happiness.

All of the Survivors expressed heartfelt gratitude for finally receiving the dental treatment they needed. For many, this support brought not only relief but restored dignity and confidence.

Luke, an Israeli army reservist, shared inspiring stories of God’s hand at work in the field, adding a moving spiritual note. Uliana Istaev then sang a song inspired by the psalms of King David, adding a soulful connection to Israel’s heritage and faith.

The event concluded with joyful smiles, low-sugar specialty desserts, and a heartfelt closing by Andre, making it a day of fellowship and healing cherished by all who attended.
