Caesarea | A Heartfelt Gathering at The Shalom House in Caesarea – 11.11.24

November 11, 2024

The Shalom House in Caesarea on November 11, 2024, was a deeply emotional gathering, filled with smiles, heartfelt connections, and even tears. Hosted by Bozena and Andre Gasiorowski, it welcomed Holocaust survivors from Or Akiva, under Sofia Medvinskaya’s loving leadership.

A Polish couple, Piotr and Ania Olszewscy, visited the Shalom House. Piotr’s music brought joy as he played and sang, lighting up the faces of all present. Alexander and Caecilia Dietze from Germany shared their hearts and emphasized the vital role these precious elderly survivors play in the life of the nation of Israel.

After the meal, Uliana Istaev and Luke Gasiorowski performed music and sang together with the survivors, creating a heartfelt and joyful moment for all.

Luke also introduced a new song, a divine gift for this moment in time. The survivors shared a powerful prayer-song for the protection of soldiers, offering a moving message about the eternal connection of the Jewish people with God.

Clara Roitman said a prayer blessing over the food and reminded everyone of the importance of a Jewish woman’s blessings over her table and family, reaffirming the deep spiritual bonds that sustain and guide the nation.

Sofia closed the evening with warm words of gratitude, saying:
“We thank the Most High God for dear friends like Bozena, Andre, and all their family and team, who love us, remember us, and always care for us.”
