July 2nd, 2025 – Svetlana and Vasily Sviridiuk made aliyah from Ukraine to Israel thirty years ago. They were living in an old apartment in Bat yam that they just finished paying for. And then their apartment was recently destroyed by an Iranian missile impact.

The missile fell right on the building in front of theirs, and the blast wave caused great damage all around, including their building.

They were deeply touched by the solidarity and attention. They said they used to feel alone in Israel and that they finally experienced a deep sense of support, community and others caring for them in the midst of this catastrophe.
