November 12th, 2025 – Sounds of war can still be heard at times in the South. In the midst of an ongoing war, WWII ghetto survivors and victims of the Holocaust from the city of Sderot were so happy to be receiving financial support in the form of grocery cards, thanks to GAiN Germany.

While almost all residents have gone back to their homes, peace, calm and quietness are yet to return. Our friends share that their nights are very difficult, as they can hear the fighting and explosions happening in Gaza. It brings a lot of stress and bad memories back.

In Ofakim, many Survivors of the Holocaust expressed their gratitude for the much-needed donation.

Everyone is still hoping that security will return to the South soon. And receiving financial support in the midst of such challenging times feels very special indeed.

All these donations and blessed distribution of financial aid are made possible, thanks to the generosity of hundreds of German families donating through the GAIN Sponsorship Program and through the Helping Hand Coalition who deliver the support to the elderly nationwide.
