March 18th, 2026 – In honor of Helping Hand Coalition,
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the financial grant and your guidance, support and sensitivity. After the direct impact we experienced and the post-trauma that accompanies us to this day, it is difficult to even describe in words how significant your support was for us.
Your grant came at a time when we had nothing, and just when we felt helpless. It not only provided material support, it gave us a sense of hope, of someone watching over us, who listens, who understands. In these difficult moments, when fear and chaos fill every corner, knowing that there is someone who reaches out is a huge change.
I want to especially thank dear Sebastian, who cared, listened and came to our home. His presence, attentiveness and warmth gave us immense strength. He was not only there with a practical solution, but also with an open heart, a hug, a kind word and real support and showed my children and us what mutual guarantee and true love are.
I look at my children, 17, 14, and 13, and I see the relief in their eyes, the sense of security you gave us. In the difficult moments, when our world collapsed, you gave us the strength to continue, strengthened us to hold together, to be there for each other, and to remember that even after the horror there is good, there is support, there is a hand that reaches out without asking.
Your grant is much more than money. It is a sign that you believe in us, that you believe in our ability to continue. It helped us feel that someone is thinking of us, that allows us to breathe for a moment, and that lets my children see that even in the darkness, there is light, there is warmth, there is love.
Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for giving hope when it seems there is no hope, for holding us when we are weak, for being part of the life that was reborn in us. Your support touched our hearts, strengthened us, gave us the strength to continue, and gave my children faith in the future even after what they experienced.
With endless love and deep gratitude,
The Pitshadze family Ilan, Ortal, Harel, Mika and Gaya.
