Day 3 Distribution Visits to Netanya, Visit 2

May 31st, 2026 – Rachel Rotman, 93 years old.

Rachel’s memory is not very strong anymore. Her husband passed away three years ago, and she is still deeply saddened by the loss. She does not like speaking about the Holocaust (Shoah) because the memories are too painful and difficult for her to revisit.

Rachel is very elderly and physically weak. She has a full time caregiver who lives with her and assists her around the clock, as she is no longer able to fully manage on her own.

She has many children and grandchildren in Israel, including some who serve as officers in the IDF, and she is very proud of them.

She does not have a bomb shelter in her apartment, only one on floor -1. However, she is very elderly and weak, and can barely walk even with the help of her walker and caregiver. Whenever there is a missile siren, she is unable to make it down to the shelter, so she simply tries to move to the entrance area of her apartment, as far away from the windows as possible, and hopes to be safe there.

Rachel expressed heartfelt gratitude for the new washing machine and sincerely thanked the sponsor for thinking of her and caring for her needs. She was also deeply moved when she heard how God had spoken to the sponsor and placed her on his heart. It touched her greatly to know that she is remembered and cared for in such a special way.
