August 21st, 2017 – Another group of 12 Holocaust survivors from Netanya came to the Caesarea Villa to enjoy lunch and have fun.
The hit of the day was learning how to fold a tortilla to have a “Burrito” – Mexican food. We showed a video from a Mexican chef to give them an idea about different recipes for Burritos. Of course, after seeing the video, one of them said that our Burritos were much better than the ones in the video. Another one said: “The food is very delicious, I have not eaten anything like this in all my 80 years”.
It was sweet and special to see the survivors helping each other with the folding of the tortilla. What impressed me was to see how open they are to trying new things. It was fun!
