WWII Refugees Celebrate

September 28th, 2017 – There was much to celebrate as many Holocaust survivors who were refugees in WWII and many invited guests from 36 cities in Israel came together in Delmar restaurant in Kiryat Haim to mark the 10th anniversary of the Israel Association of Refugee Victims of Disaster.

It was a truly solemn occasion and also a joyous one – a celebration of life. Many branch heads of the Association used this time to share about the work done and speak about plans for the future. Knesset Deputy Speaker Tali Ploskov, the Chairman of the Association Dr.  Alexander Berman and Projects Coordinator of Helping Hand Coalition for Israel (עמותת יד לעזרה ישראל) Yehuda Davidov together with several more distinguished guests encouraged the survivors and the volunteers with words of support. Many of the volunteers were honored with certificates and medals for their tireless work on behalf of all the WWII refugees in Israel.

After the solemn official part came singing and dancing. Everyone went back home grateful and refreshed and looking forward to years more of fruitful work. Helping Hand Coalition will continue to support the work of the Association!
