Huge Thanks to Christians For Israel, Germany!

April 20th, 2021 – Huge thanks to C4I Germany – 300 WWII Refugees and Ghetto survivors from the Beit Shemesh area (close to Jerusalem) and Hadera have been and will be receiving gift grocery cards for shopping. So much joy and gratefulness came from the elderly, right as they prepare to celebrate at the beginning of May the WWII Victory Day over Nazism.

Adela (first picture), who turned 98 on the day of the distribution, received financial help for grocery shopping right on her birthday from the German Christians. She was so happy and felt so blessed. During the wartime she was 20 years old and remembers vividly this difficult time in her life. Another lady was born in a Ukrainian Jewish Ghetto and was 4 years old at the end of the war, but even she remembers this difficult time and some of the traumatizing events that took place in her early years.

Many of the elderly expressed deep joy for the support, attention and mini gathering they are enjoying after a year of repeated lockdowns. Boris Dashievski, a Head of the WWII Refugee group, said that Helping Hand Coalition for Israel were the first people coming to see them and bless them at this time, right as the State of Israel is slowing re-opening social events and starting to lift prior restrictions. Many many thanks to Christians For Israel Germany!!
