On November 18, 1991, the diplomatic relations between Israel and Russia (then the USSR) that were severed following the Six-Day War were renewed. Thirty years later, the relationship continues to grow and was celebrated in Israel with a series of events that honored culture partnership and history.
28.1.2020, Refugees from the Foundation of Holocaust Victims (Haifa, chairman of the board Alexander Volk) visited the association, “Helping Hand Coalition – HHC” at the HHC Caesarea Villa.
The co-founders of the association, Andre Gasiorowski and Bozena Gasiorowski – the director of the Shalom House Project – and the volunteers of the association warmly welcomed the elderly people who came from Haifa. They were also joined by guests from England, Germany, and a representative from the third generation of Holocaust survivors from Tel Aviv.
Representatives from 41 countries will attend an event in Jerusalem to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Helping Hand Coalition will also be investing 10 million shekels towards helping the survivors, this year!
Helping Hand Coalition, which helps thousands of survivors of the Holocaust, will mark this year’s Memorial Day with an extensive cultural activity, preserving the memory of the Holocaust and will begin distributing this year’s support to survivors of the Holocaust across the country, worth over ten million shekels in total.

About 550 survivors of the Holocaust and 150 visitors from around the world celebrated this week with an exciting event for Hanukkah in the city of Tiberias initiated by Israel and the Asia Pacific.
