December 27th, 2023 – Thanks to a sponsor of Helping Hand Coalition for Israel from Germany, Oren Zvada, who survived the October 7th massacre with his wife and 2 daughters, was evacuated for months to an Ein Gedi hotel after his home was stormed and destroyed by Hamas terrorist forces.

They survived by hiding and locking themselves up the entire day of the harrowing events in their bomb shelter. They fought tooth and nail to keep the door closed and blocked it thanks to a metal bar, survived two rounds of Hamas attacks, grenade launches and gunfire, and were rescued by the army in the evening, 12 hours later.

They recently moved to Sde Boker to restart their life from scratch, his wife lost her job and he is trying to get his business off the ground. Oren was deeply touched by the donation and thanks Helping Hand Coalition and the German donor who is behind the financial support from the bottom of his heart .
