July 1st, 2024 – Our dear Michael Manusis has left us recently, right as he was about to be blowing his 97th birthday candle. May his memory be a blessing.
He will be greatly missed and was deeply loved by many, both here, in Ukraine and also in Germany.
Michael was a WWII survivor who spent almost 3 years in a Jewish Ghetto in Ukraine when he was 14 years old.
He then was drafted to the Red Army towards the end of WWII, and ended up losing his eyesight as a result of a severe tooth infection during his time serving his country and fighting the Nazis. He was in the GAiN Sponsorship Program almost from its inception 15 years ago.
Praying for comfort to his family, and especially to his son and daughter, who dearly loved him and took amazing care of him in his later days.
