November 14th, 2024 – Thanks to GAiN Germany, and together with the municipality of Kyriat Gat, the Jewish Agency, and local community leader Getanet Teshager, hundreds of new immigrant families from Ethiopia and India have been blessed with brand new sportswear shoes and clothing, regular clothing, brand new mattresses as well as hygienic products such as paper towel, napkins, incontinence pads for women and children and toilet paper.

Many more new immigrant families from the old USSR will be blessed throughout the week.

The distribution took place at a local synagogue located in the heart of one of the underprivileged neighborhoods of Kiryat Gat.

Many Ethiopian elderly were very blessed and surprised to be getting brand new shoes, clothing and also loved the mattresses. Also they enjoyed bringing home different hygiene products which save them hundreds of shekels on their monthly spending. Living on tiny government pensions or working low income jobs, those savings definitely come as a blessing.

With the ongoing war, 2024 has been a difficult year, the donation couldn’t have come at a better time for the local families, helping them cope with difficult times due to the rising inflation and prices, and all the uncertainty.

A special thanks to GAIN Germany from Yigal Weinberger, deputy mayor of Kiryat Gat who attended the distribution and shared a word of blessing and encouragement to the new immigrants. And said how much they appreciate Germany shipping such precious goods, thus blessings many Israeli families.
