On January 23, 2025, a beautiful, sunny winter day provided the perfect setting for a meaningful gathering between the HHC team and a long-expected group of Holocaust survivors from Haifa, led by Margarita Pugachevska.

It was a true joy to meet the precious survivors again and spend this time together. Bozena Gasiorowski warmly welcomed the guests, hosting them with a delicious lunch. Following the meal, Sarah Gasiorowski shared the inspiring story of the Dental Project, highlighting its uniqueness and the compassion of the sponsors, who are deeply committed not only to helping the survivors but also to building meaningful relationships with them.

During the gathering, as the group enjoyed a special concert prepared by Yelena Lustenko and Eduard Valov, the survivors were given the opportunity to record individual video interviews, sharing their heartfelt stories with the project’s sponsors. Margarita remarked, “Helping people is what gives me purpose and keeps me going.”

The music and songs evoked fond memories for the survivors, reminding them of their youthful days, both in spirit and in age. Ella, one of the survivors, shared her reflection on the day, expressing how extraordinary it was. She described the love and care shown by the hosts, likening it to discovering an entire world within the heart of someone eager to share their inner beauty and peace with others.
