March 31st, 2026 – Many more victims of missile hits from Iran received financial support in times of need, thanks to sponsors of Helping Hand Coalition for Israel. Residents so Beit Shemesh were struck by heavy missiles in the first days of the war and endured a lot of devastation to life and property. The largest death toll was in a strike on March 1st, that targeted a residential neighborhood in Beit Shemesh, killing nine Israeli civilians and injuring many.
Together with the municipality of Beit Shemesh, Deputy-Mayor Moshe Shitrit, Noam Ezra, Jewish Agency project manager, Helping Hand Coalition for Israel was able to deliver financial help to over 40 war evacuees and families who were directly affected by the missile hit.
Several of the individuals who received the support have lost a relative in this recent event, or experienced serious home damage, or physical injuries.
Beit Shemesh is the 2nd city in Israel with the lowest socioeconomic standards.
There will be many more individuals who will be receiving financial support.
