June 24th, 2026 – the ZOA House (Zionist Organization of America Museum) in Tel Aviv hosted a special gathering of the Association of Concentration Camps and Ghetto Survivors in Israel (ACCGS).

The event brought together survivors’ leaders from 22 cities across Israel, alongside representatives of sponsoring organizations and members of the Israeli Border Police (MAGAV). The gathering was led by the Chairwoman of ACCGS, Gita Koifman.

After months of uncertainty, security concerns, and the constant threat of rocket attacks, the atmosphere was filled with joy, relief, friendship, and gratitude.

The gathering served as a powerful reminder that resilience is not only about surviving difficult times—it is also about celebrating life, community, and friendship whenever the opportunity arises.

For many of the participants, this was more than just a meeting. It was a chance to experience togetherness, dignity, and a sense of normalcy during a period of welcome calm.
