September 18th, 2026 – Another practical need of a Holocaust survivor has been met in Or Akiva.
A Holocaust survivor from Or Akiva (S.M.) requested assistance with a washing machine, an essential household appliance that can make everyday life easier and help preserve independence and dignity. Thanks to the ongoing support provided through the Helping Hand Coalition network, a new washing machine was delivered directly to her home.
For elderly Holocaust survivors, practical assistance of this kind is about much more than equipment. It is a message of care, friendship, and remembrance — a reminder that they are not forgotten.
After receiving the washing machine, she hared a deeply touching message:
“Dear Helping Hand Coalition,
There are no words to fully express my gratitude for your care, kindness, and support. Thank you for remembering me, for responding to my needs, and for helping in such a practical and meaningful way.
Your support is not only material assistance. It gives a feeling of friendship, dignity, and reassurance that we are not forgotten. May all of you at Helping Hand Coalition be blessed for the good you are doing for Holocaust survivors. With sincere gratitude and love, S.M.
