September 23rd, 2026 – Through the Helping Hand Coalition Soup Project, a special highly nutritious dehydrated vegetable soup mix is being distributed to Holocaust survivors‘ communities across Israel.
The soup is produced in Canada by Fraser Valley Gleaners Society from rescued vegetables and includes protein-rich pulses and grains. Each package bears the words “In Christ’s Name” — a gentle expression of the Christian faith that inspires this act of service, turning compassion into practical care for people in need.
Each bag prepares approximately 25 liters of soup — around 100 servings — while one carton can provide approximately 1,200 servings.
So far, HHC has delivered 132 cartons — 1,584 bags of soup — providing approximately 39,600 liters of prepared soup, equivalent to approximately 158,400 servings.
On September 7 and 8, 2026, HHC delivered 40 cartons of dry vegetable soup to the Veterans Alliance in Haifa, coordinated by Liliana Veiner and received by Galina Veselova.
The delivery represents:
- 80 cartons
- 960 bags of soup
- approximately 24,000 liters of prepared soup
- approximately 96,000 servings of 250 ml
On September 15, 2026, HHC delivered 40 cartons of highly nutritious dehydrated vegetable soup in Lod for Holocaust survivors and elderly people in need.
The delivery represents:

This remarkable food-rescue initiative transforms surplus vegetables that might otherwise go to waste into nutritious meals. Enriched with protein-rich pulses and grains, the soup provides valuable nourishment to people in need.
A meaningful delivery providing thousands of nutritious meals for Holocaust survivors and elderly people in need.
A heartfelt thank-you to GAiN Canada for sponsoring this important food assistance, to GAiN Germany for delivering it to Israel, and God’s Grace International to support distribution in Israel.
This partnership transforms generosity into thousands of nutritious meals, bringing practical support, dignity, and a powerful message to Holocaust survivors that they are remembered, cared for, and loved.
