March 8th, 2018 – 13 Survivors came from Afula to celebrate International Women’s Day with us. The group spent some time in the Caesarea Ralli Museum and later on, were welcomed by our volunteers from different nations to a tasty lunch and a wonderful afternoon. The tables were decorated with red and white flowers as expression of love for the survivors.
One of the leaders from Helping Hand Coalition for Israel (עמותת יד לעזרה ישראל) came by to congratulate the women. He read a poem “Give flowers to women” (an old, but still very popular and touching poem in Russian), and of course at the end of the gathering each lady (and three men who came to share in the celebration) received a flower and a gift.
They survivors were grateful for the time we spent together.
