October 11th, 2018 – 8 Holocaust survivors from Netanya came for a Shalom House meeting atour March of Life Villa volunteers.
After enjoying delicious cakes, fruit, coffee and tea, half of the group went for a short walk and the other half stayed in the yard playing some games.
The group that went for a walk enjoyed the view of the beach and took pictures together. One of them, who was able to go out for the first time after a long recovery from a head injury, was very grateful to have a breath of fresh sea air and to do something different.
The rest of the survivors were doing a great job playing the challenging Jenga game (a physical skills game with a purpose not to drop the tower), checkers, Chinese sticks and cards.
We all had a wonderful afternoon, whether eating together, walking and taking pictures at the beach or playing games. We really enjoyed the peaceful, warm afternoon and each other’s company.
