October 23rd, 2018 – Sponsors participating in GAiN Sponsorship Program always want to make personal connections with survivors they support. And so it was another very special encounter when this German family came to visit Simeon whom they’ve been supporting monthly, and to build a personal relationship, which is a part of building bridges between Israel and Germany.
Simeon is one of the thousands of WWII Refugees who really struggle to have the ends meet. Most of his pension goes only toward paying the rent, therefore the support he gets through the GAiN Sponsorship Program really helps him with buying groceries. He was grateful to the German family for taking time to visit him and get to know him. He quickly found common language with both the parents and the children, and everyone enjoyed a lively discussion.
A huge thanks to GAiN Germany for making such precious times possible!
