Disabled and Underprivileged in Central Israel Receive Gifts

September 29th, 2020 – In the middle of a severe lock down and right before the start of the Jewish holiday of Sukkoth, dozens of disabled individuals and families in need received a gift of financial help in the form of grocery cards for holiday shopping, thanks to the generosity of Helping Hand Coalition for Israel sponsors.

Many of the individuals were living normal lives and suddenly got sick and diagnosed with serious illnesses such as cancer, and then life started going downhill, from both a health and a financial standpoint. The monthly support these people get from the government does not suffice to pay for bills and food. Many such individuals in central Israel are currently receiving support, from Bat Yam to Rishon leZion, Holon and more.
