Ori, a 12-year-old boy, experienced a tragic loss when his father and one of his brothers were killed during a Palestinian terror attack in the Ofakim neighborhood on October 7th.
In the United States, 12-year-old Chayton was deeply moved by Ori’s story after watching an interview about him and his family on the NBC News. He and his parents decided to donate $700, a generous financial gift of love, to support Ori’s upcoming Bar Mitzvah.
To find Ori and deliver the donation, they contacted the Israel 24 platform and sought assistance from the Helping Hand Global Forum. With the help of the Municipality of Ofakim, Ori’s family was located by Helping Hand Coalition representatives who successfully met Ori and delivered a generous gift from his unknown friend in the USA.
Chayton wants to document the lives of these children who survived the Palestinian massacre and find individual sponsors for special occasions like Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, yearly birthdays, and Hanukkah. With Helping Hand Global Forum assistance, he aims to locate the children and connect them with individual sponsors in the United States who can send funds to share the love with them.
Recognizing his empathy, compassion, and love, the Helping Hand Global Forum will officially nominate Chayton as its Ambassador of Love.
